The
hillside community of Ladera, founded in 1946, has a
fascinating
history with its beginnings as a Spanish Land Grant farm and
ranch, then a cooperative housing experiment, and now a thriving and
independent unincorporated community. Oversight The Ladera Community Association (LCA) focuses on community-wide issues, activities, and communications. The Ladera Recreation District (LRD) oversees the recreation facilities. The Ladera Emergency Preparedness (LEP) is a network to prepare Ladera for a major emergency, most likely an earthquake. Communications Ladera Online (this site) is where large or stable documents and information about Ladera are made available. Ladera Crier
is the monthly newsletter with up-to-date news and information about
Ladera. This publication is available to Ladera. |
