Progress Report: La Cuesta Island Renovation

Mother nature blessed us with the rain we needed in January.  Fortunately, she also sent the sun to dry things out enough to proceed with our La Cuesta island landscaping project.  The garden’s foundation consisting of a gentle rise, boulders, and flowering trees has been set in place.  Ground cover, additional plantings, the irrigation system, and permit application for the sign are now in the works.  We hope the results so far are promising.

We are also making progress with our community fundraiser.  So far, forty-six Ladera families have contributed a total of $8,000 toward beautifying the gateway to our community.  We are more than half way to our goal of $14,000 and would very much appreciate the help of those neighbors who have not yet lent their support.

Please take a look at the revised list of needed plants, materials, equipment, and operators and consider a gift at this time to your community.   Send your checks to:

Thank you very much for your support.
