Rules
- Ladera Recreation
District courts are to be used by season pass holders and their guests
only.
- LRD members must
sign in on the chalkboard located bove the water fountain across from
Court 2. A membership list will be posted in the display case located
at the tennis courts.
- Players must always
post starting time before beginning play.
- Players may not
sign up for another court for one hour after finishing play unless no
one is waiting. If a second sign-up is made before new players arrive,
the court should still be given up to the newly arriving players for
the hour following earlier play.
- Time limit: 1 hour
single play, 1½ doubles. Time limits apply when all four courts are
filled. Courts do not have to be relinquished when there are available
courts.
- If the courts are
full when you arrive, place your racket in the next available space
in the racket caddy. The first player waiting takes the first available
court. Players must be present to claim a court. An incomplete party
may not hold a court.
- LRD members are
allowed to bring 3 guests to use the courts. The member must be present
with the guests at all times on the courts. Guest fees apply for any
guests over the 3 allotted per family.
- Repeat guests are
encouraged to join the LRD.
- To protect courts
only non-marring
tennis shoes are allowed on the courts.
- No skateboards,
wheeled vehicles of any kind.
- No dogs.
- Tennis Keys-Access
to court lights is limited to members with a key. Keys may be obtained
from the manager for an annual fee. Court lighting is set to go off
at 10:30 pm. Please switch off the lights when play is completed. A
full clockwise turn of the switch sets the lights for one hour.
- Only LRD appointed
instructors may use the courts for tennis lessons.
- Two of the courts
are washed every other week to preserve the surface. Two courts will
always be available for play. Check the sign by the courts for closure
times.
- Adults (18 and
older) have priority on court 4 (next to Laderaland) after dark. As
a courtesy to adults, it is requested that parents avoid playing with
children under the age of 13 during peak hours (Saturday and Sundays
8 am - 11 am and weekdays 6 - 8:30 pm) or relinquish the courts to adult
players as the need arises.
- If players are
waiting for courts, households with multiple members may only utilize
one court at a time.
- All lessons, league
play, and tournaments must be cleared with the manager.
