History

The hillside community of Ladera, founded in 1946, has a fascinating history with its beginnings as a Spanish Land Grant farm and ranch, then a cooperative housing experiment, and now a thriving and independent unincorporated community.

Located in San Mateo County, California, it now has over 500 homes.
